A FANTASTIC STAY .....

We, Yorkshire CCC have just played our annual fixture against Durham Academy at Longhirst Hall and have just spent a fantastic 3 days there. I feel it would be wrong not to pass on our thanks to the staff who were fantastic throughout our stay.  The food was outstanding and the cricket ground in fabulous condition.  This year the rate charged was very acceptable and allowed our young players the chance to stay in the fabulous hotel on the cricket ground.  I would be grateful if you could pass on the thanks of Yorkshire CCC to all your staff but especially the ladies in the dining room and the groundsman who could not have done anything more for us.

I just want to say thank you to all the staff as you made my husband and I's stay with you a pleasurable experience.  Both the food and care from all staff was second to none.  We will definately be visiting you again!

My DREAM WEDDING VENUE.....

We chose this venue for our wedding as soon as we saw it.  The grounds were amazing and the Old Hall where the ceremony took place was absolutely amazing with the grand staircase.  The wedding breakfast was held in the Drawing Room which looked onto the beautiful gardens.  Our evening reception was held in the Court Suite which was very spacious, lots of room for our guests to enjoy their night and have a dance.  The staff at Longhirst were fantastic, very helpful, polite and interested in our wedding and catered to our every need.  The food was fantastic, everybody loved our choices for the day and the hot buffet for the evening.  What made our day so fantastic was that we had our very own toast Mrs Zoe Easton and she made our day go so smoothly and perfect.  Our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be thanks to the staff at Longhirst Hall.

Just a note to say thank you to the staff and management of Longhirst Hall for the help and effort that was put in to make our wedding a special day.  Special thanks to Laura Forster who co-ordinated the build up to the day and Zoe Easton who was Master of Ceremonies and made the day go like clockwork.  All in all ourselves and our guests had a first class day from start to finish.

perfect day.....

We had the most amazing wedding at Longhirst Hall Hotel on Sunday 31 October.  From start to finish we could not fault anything.  The Hotel itself is so full of character and has amazing gardens outside.  The rooms were done to a very high standard, very comfortable and relaxing.  The food - where to start? Amazing! We had a perfect day and everything we asked of the hotel was delivered, nothing was impossible or a bit of bother to them.  We must comment on the staff, they all gave 100% in making our day perfect especially Mrs Zoe Easton, our toastmaster, the day was made perfect by all her hard efforts, she did a fantastic job!  The whole day ran so smoothly with huge thanks to her.  We would definately recommend this hotel to anyone, for any sort of occasion.

a truly magical day.....

We have just celebrated my daughters wedding at Longhirst and the staff were so friendly and helpful.  The venue is wonderful all year round.  The Ceremony Room is enchanting and there is a choice of reception rooms for the wedding breakfast.  The meal was excellent and the evening food too!  The Wedding Co-ordinator and the Toast Mistress made sure the day went perfectly.  Many guests said it was the best wedding venue they had been to and I can highly recommend it to any brides to be.  They gave us a truly magical day!

Compliments to the Chef for the wonderful Boyson Resaurant meal. We applaud the hotel's employment of local staff, it makes a very nice welcome and sense of location. Would definately use the hotel again!

Our friends and family travelled to share our amazing Wedding Day at your fantastic location.  All the staff were kind, helpful and friendly.  Thank you for helping us make it a weekend to remember! 

the setting was beautiful...

Thank you for organising our wedding.  The setting was beautiful, the function rooms were wonderfully decorated, service was excellent ... waiters, bar staff and receptionists.  The food was hot and very tasty with just enough time between courses. 

WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR INTERNATIONAL MEETINGS

We used this hotel for our European Board meeting and the service was great.  The porters were very accommodating with picking up all the people coming in from different countries and I felt that Lucy did an excellent job organising this. 

We would have no hesitation to use this venue again and would highly recommend it for international meetings.

The setting of the hotel was very beautiful and decorated to 5 star standard. The food was delightful, especially the food on the wedding buffet. The nicest spread I have ever sampled at a wedding, (and I have been to many). The staff were friendly and helpful. I had many questions to ask and these were all answered by the staff on the bar and buffet on the night time.

Me and my wife will be visiting again.

The Day of my Dreams!

We got married at Longhirst Church and held our Reception at Longhirst Hall on 1st May 2010. Our day was beautiful and seamless and that was all down to your well trained and polite team, the food was lovely, the staff were all friendly & helpful.  We were made welcome and all in all it was an excellent day/weekend.

Beautiful Hotel at Guest House Prices

I was looking for a romantic getaway in Northumberland and this hotel fits the bill perfectly. Set in beautiful grounds you can easily spend your time walking, on the golf course or in the bar/restaurant. Morpeth is only a short taxi ride (about £6) away wth lots of its shops, pubs and eateries.

The room was £80 (for the room, not each) which included a delicious breakfast for 2. This was the same price as many guest houses I had priced up, so I wasn't expecting too much, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Can't fault it.

Great Value for Money

I love it here, good DBB rates, yes, standard rooms are a bit small, but its cheap enough to upgrade to a superior room. The grounds and building itself are beautiful, golf club is nearby and does good Sunday lunches.

The hotel restaurant has a really varied menu, packed with local produce, and isnt overpriced for the standard you get. Breakfast is buffet service and can be quite full, each time we have been there has been a wedding being held, but even when really busy the staff have always been very helpful and friendly.

Brilliant Hotel

We were a party of four stopping over for 1 night on the way to Edinburgh. Hotel was excellent, staff great and very helplful. We run out of milk in the room and asked at reception if we could have some more, by the time we had walked back to the room (a matter of 5 mins) extra milk had been delivered. Food was superb. The men played golf and enjoyed the course. The staff in the pro shop and bar were very friendly.

On our next trip to Scotland we will stay here again. Would highly recommend this hotel.
